I have been thinking about creating this image for quite sometime. There are so many days when I travel to London and start at Waterloo station. Originally opening in 1848, the glass roof was a major rebuild completed in 1922. It is an incredibly complex architectural structure allowing natural light to illuminate the platforms. It is really an impressive sight especially on clear days when you can see hints of the city behind the glazing. Because of it's complexity, I focused on the key parts of the structure with the hope that you would feel you were also on the platform ready to take on the day.
